I will be in conversation with author and poet Jerry Pinto about the poetry of Narayan Gangaram Surve, focused on Pinto’s book of Surve’s poetry in translation:  In That Mill I Too Was Forged. This evening of conversation and reading shall span Surve’s social themes, the turn he brought to Marathi poetry, his deep impact on the working classes, and the responsibility of translation. This event is part of the silver jubilee Edition of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, now celebrating 25 years.
