REBEL, DEVOTEE, GODDESS: Indian women and how they sang to the divine
Poet and writer Arundhati Subramaniam who writes about the sacred, goes a step further in her new book of poems, Wild Women, with a feminist approach. She talks to Mustansir Dalvi about the anthology that speaks of the lesser known but no less strong voices of women poets and devotees, from ancient Buddhist monks, Sufi Mystics, Bhakti, tantrik and other haunting voices of women, exploring gender and faith, female power, and the worship of their times.
